Dr. Charu S. Chandra holds a D.M.D. and M.D.S. in Periodontics, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She has fellowships with the Misch Institute and Pankey Institute. Her thesis, which proves how bacteria in gum cells trigger the production of inflammatory factors that cause bone loss, contributed significantly to the field of Periodontics. Dr. Chandra is known for high quality care, taking time with her patients and caring for their well being. She has an extremely gentle and patient approach to periodontics.
